How The Daily Luncheon recieved it’s name
Hey, everyone! I bet that you’re all wondering how in the world The Daily Luncheon recieved it’s name. Well, i’m just about to tell you all about it.
So back last year in 8th grade, at Hamden Middle School, Sarah and I always used to talk at our lunch table about gossip, or just plain stuff. Particularly about this one person, whom we called: Ix.
She was an ah-nnoying person, who we often just wished we could ignore. However, I would find out a little bit of juicy gossip about her (that’s all she’d talk about ha!). I told Sarah about this, and we decided instead of gossiping in school, or at school, to gossip in private or in other words start something online that we could both partake in. We decided to create a blog.
Sarah said to me, “You, know, we should create a blog, so Ix won’t overhear every conversation that we have.” I replied, “That’s an excellent idea.” See, Ix sat about 4 or 5 lunch tables, directly in front of us. And as you know, sound does travel. At our old school, we could eat lunch outside on the patio, or inside at our assigned seat. So, Sarah and I sat outside, like every day. And one day, guess who showed up, Ix! We acted nice to her, but Sarah and I didn’t really get to tatlk that much, at all.
About a week later, Ix sat directly in back of us in the lunch room. Yeah, she changed her seat. So, Sarah and I kept sitting outside on the patio, talking about our usual stuff.
One day, on June 4th, 2008 to be exact, we created this blog, and at lunch we decided to call our gossip/news page: “The Daily Luncheon.”
Well, now there you have it. That is how and why the daily luncheon is called: “The Daily Luncheon.”
